In Cameroon, we are the source of electricity for the entire country, from the capital city of Yaounde to rural outposts just now getting power for the first time. In El Salvador, AES’ four distribution companies together serve more than 80% of the country’s electric power market, keeping homes and streets lit and the wheels of commerce turning.

AES Eletropaulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is the largest distribution company in Latin America and serves over five million customers, while our two utilities located in the United States, Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) and Dayton Power & Light, together serve nearly one million customers throughout the Midwest region.  AES Eletropaulo has a history that stretches back over 100 years of service.  IPL has become one of the most reliable electric utilities in the US, and one of the most highly rated in customer satisfaction.
