No. Trainees are hired as full-time employees within AES, with entry-level salaries and benefits. Trainee applicants must have already graduated from their college or university with a bachelor’s degree by program start.

To qualify for the program, you must have completed your undergraduate degree between 

• May 2024 and December 2026 (USA)
• December 2024 and December 2026 (Outside of USA)

No formal work experience is necessary to be considered. You must also have fluent/advanced English and be legally authorized to work in the location where you are applying. 

The program usually begins in January. More details will be provided to selected candidates as we approach the start date.

Rotations are primarily driven by business needs and the developmental objectives of the E4T program. While participant preferences are considered whenever possible, we cannot guarantee placement in their preferred business areas. 

While participants’ preferences are taken into consideration, we prioritize placing E4T´s where their team and key stakeholders are located to support collaboration, development, and long-term success. Therefore, placement in a preferred location cannot be guaranteed. 

While relocation is not guaranteed, we offer a comprehensive experience for trainees that may involve short-term (3-6 months) relocation and/or remote working opportunities in various areas. This is managed on a case-by-case basis depending on the requirements of the projects. E4Ts should assume that the location they are hired in will act as a home base throughout the 2 years of the program.

Globally, we hired approximately 15 trainees for 2026 and, in 2027, we hope to hire a similarly robust cohort. The number of positions varies by country.
