As a member of AES’ innovation center of excellence, AES Next, Brendan focuses on advancing the clean energy transition through innovative policy, regulation, technology, and process. His specific focus on evolution of the distribution system draws on extensive experience with demand response, distributed energy resources, and transportation electrification. Brendan previously led AES’ fleet electrification business, helping some of the company’s largest customers meet their sustainability goals through adoption of EVs.
Brendan experience before joining AES includes leading portfolio management at demand response aggregator EnerNOC, building a behind-the-meter solutions business at Shell Energy, developing grid-scale energy storage at NEC Energy Solutions, and helping utilities implement EV managed charging programs at WeaveGrid.
