  • Improved air quality and reduced CO2 emissions
  • Non-permanent development and low-impact construction that ensures land can be sensitively restored to pre-project conditions at the end of the project’s life

Best practices in responsible and sustainable development

At AES, safety is our highest priority, and we’ve focused on improving lives and building stronger communities for more than 40 years. As a leading innovator in energy solutions, sustainability is core to both our strategy and our culture. We are committed to responsible land use and incorporating sustainable best practices into the entire project lifecycle, contributing to building a domestic circular renewables economy and reducing foreign dependence.

Environmental and technical studies

Because the sites for this project are in the city of Lancaster and Los Angeles County, a joint Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be prepared. The EIR is a comprehensive analysis that will identify any significant environmental impacts and mitigation measures as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project will be designed and built in accordance with the latest applicable codes and safety standards.

Partnering with communities for the future of energy

AES is committed to being a good neighbor and partner in the Antelope Valley community. This includes informing and engaging project stakeholders and the public throughout all phases of the project. AES also supports local contractors and has ongoing partnerships with community organizations and programs such as Antelope Valley College.

AES is a proud member and partner of
