Mykola Makowsky

Senior Hydrogen and Innovation Project Manager

Mykola is a dynamic leader with a track record of leading teams through the uncertainty of developing hard science technologies.

He currently leads a team reimaging the design and operation of integrated green hydrogen facility in preparation for AES’ commercial operations at the hydrogen hubs and the joint venture in North Texas, focusing on de-risking operations and validating new technologies to incorporate into AES’ commercial projects.

Prior to joining AES, Mykola developed novel marine fuel desulfurization and long duration energy storage technologies, scaling concepts from inception through to final commercial validation. He has experience across the full spectrum of activities in technology development, including managing fundamental R&D, the design and operation of pilot scale facilities, developing lP strategy and leading studies such as economic modeling, life cycle analyses and cost estimation.
