Energy4Talent application process


For this program we have set up a robust recruiting process, which runs from September to December every year. During this four-month process, you will get a chance to connect and collaborate with other candidates, as well as get to know our business and culture to identify if AES is the right place for you.

Click apply now then select your market. At this point, you will be redirected to your market- specific application portal. Start by uploading your resume and answering a questionnaire intended to gather basic information, such as your university, major, graduation date, and English level.

Evaluación en línea

Si cumples con los criterios básicos para el programa, y pasas la etapa del cuestionario inicial, recibirás un enlace para una evaluación en línea en un portal llamado HireVue.

Esta evaluación se compone de varias entrevistas por videollamada, con la finalidad de conocer más sobre ti y tus experiencias, así como algunos juegos en línea diseñados para evaluar tu lógica y habilidades para resolver problemas.

Evaluación grupal

Basándonos en el análisis de la entrevista realizada en el portal en HireVue y los juegos en línea, seleccionaremos grupos de los mejores candidatos por país para una evaluación grupal. Esta parte del proceso también será virtual. Aproximadamente de 15 a 20 candidatos serán invitados a cada sesión virtual, donde nos conoceremos mejor, compartiremos más información sobre el programa y AES, y responderemos cualquier pregunta y/o duda que puedan tener.

Introductions

The first part of the session will focus on introducing each candidate to the group and warming up. You will receive instructions in advance of the session with a prompt for your introductions and any other key information you will need.

Before starting the group activity, we will share more information about the company and the program, and we will dedicate a few minutes to answering questions from candidates.

Group activity

After a short break, you will receive instructions for the activity and break into assigned groups to work together on the prompt. We can’t give too much away in advance, but we can share that this is a fun activity to get you thinking about renewable energy where we’ll observe some of the skills we are looking for in trainees, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.

Business Panel

After the group assessments, we will select groups of 10-15 candidates to move forward to the Business Panel stage, which will be managed in-person or virtually, on a country-by-country basis. For this stage of the process, we will prioritize in-person sessions, however, that might not be a possibility in every market. This will be communicated to the selected participants in advance of this stage of the process.

This part of the process is similar to Group Assessments; the main difference in this stage is that it includes the participation of several AES senior leaders at the sessions. The Business Panels are structured in three parts.

You will receive a prompt in advance of the session to create a personal presentation in English with a visual aid (this could include PowerPoint or another tool that can be screen shared). You will have limited time for this presentation, so you must be concise and effective.

After the personal presentations, you will have the opportunity to ask senior leaders about AES and our business. This is a great opportunity for you to gain the information you need to define if AES aligns with your goals and expectations. Whatever you are curious about, this is the opportunity to ask!

Group activity

As in the group assessments, in the second part of the session, you will be divided into two groups and given a prompt to work out and then present to the full session. The activity for this stage of the process is more focused on business topics, such as analyzing a business case, suggesting improvements or new ideas, or structuring a business proposal. In the group activity, we and AES senior leaders will observe some of the skills we are looking for in trainees, such as communication, teamwork and leadership.

Entrevistas individuales

Luego de los Paneles de Negocio, discutiremos internamente entre nuestros equipos de Recursos Humanos y Líderes del Negocio para identificar a los 2-3 mejores candidatos/as para cada posición de trainee disponible.

Se les pedirá a estos candidatos/as que puedan asistir a una entrevista de 30 minutos con al menos un miembro del equipo de Recursos Humanos y un Líder del Negocio. Al igual que en la etapa de Panel de Negocio, estas entrevistas pueden ser virtuales o presenciales según la ubicación. En la medida de lo posible, se priorizarán las actividades presenciales.​

Esta entrevista estará enfocada en responder cualquier pregunta que haya quedado pendiente sobre el puesto, expectativas de trabajo, intereses profesionales, experiencias pertinentes y cualquier otro tema relevante, tanto de parte de los miembros de AES como del candidato/a.​

 

Oferta laboral

Después de las entrevistas individuales, se tomará una decisión final, internamente, para enviar las ofertas laborales a los candidatos seleccionados. En este punto, estarás en contacto directo con el reclutador y el representante de recursos humanos de la ubicación que seleccionaste, para coordinar toda la logística relacionada con el proceso de contratación y la documentación necesaria para comenzar el programa.

 

Inducción

Dependiendo en cómo la pandemia de COVID-19 se desarrolla cada localidad, podés tener algunas actividades presenciales así también como sesiones virtuales coordinadas globalmente. Durante el proceso de inducción vas a:​

  • Recibir tu equipamiento​
  • Conocer a los otros trainees que forman parte de tu grupo​
  • Conocer antiguos y actuales trainees en AES​
  • Aprender sobre AES a través de sesiones donde participan diferentes líderes regionales y globales​
  • Participar en capacitaciones de habilidades para prepararte para el éxito en tu primera rotación​
  • Aprender todos los detalles del programa Energy4Talent
